ENGINEERING/PROFESSIONAL POSITIONS IN METRO-DETROIT AREA

Gibbs Technologies, the pioneer and leader of High Speed Amphibian Technology, with engineering, manufacturing and development facilities in the UK, New Zealand and Auburn Hills, MI, is looking for innovative, forward thinking and success-driven individuals to join our team as we ramp up for strategic growth.  In order to accomplish these goals, we are searching for the brightest, most creative high-caliber engineers experienced in the fields of automotive and marine engineering to collaborate with our team of specialists.  Specifically, we are looking for individuals experienced in full vehicle research, design, development and test responsibilities from prototype to production in the powersports, ATV and automotive/marine industries to work from our Auburn Hills headquarters.

All candidates for the Engineering positions must:

  • Have Bachelor’s degrees in mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, or marine engineering;
  • Be confident, detail and results-oriented, self-driven engineering professionals;
  • Have proven history of accomplishments, with demonstrated strengths in their respective aspects of engineering.

* Some open positions may require experience in CATIA V5, and MS Project. 

Typical engineering knowledge and experience for the various open positions would include:  Lean Manufacturing,  Emissions and Safety Standards (FMVSS), knowledge of industry quality standards, APQP, FMEA, DFM, and continuous improvement.

In addition to strengths in the engineering disciplines, preferred candidates will be:

  • Knowledgeable in composite design & analysis, vehicle dynamics & architecture
  • Skilled in both oral and written communications;
  • Customer-oriented (both internal and external);
  • Excellent problem-solvers;
  • Proficient regarding organizational and time-management skills;
  • Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), with the ability to create detailed status reports, measurables, and timelines.
