The next generation of High Speed Amphibians (HSAs) arrive,
The Phibian, the largest wheeled HSA ever, was demonstrated on the Potomac in Washington DC on (02/07/2012). This was the first in a series of events this year to launch new Gibbs HSAs onto the market. The Phibian appeared in public in advance of the American Society of Naval Engineers annual conference on amphibious concepts. The event announced both Phibian and Humdinga high speed amphibians to the press and public. These amphibians are larger and more utility based than the Aquada. They demonstrate that the proprietary HSA technology Gibbs has created is able to be applied to large scale as well as small vehicles. Gibbs expects to be fulfilling it's first orders for these built-to-specification HSAs later this year.
